Phyllis Emmert is a Northwest fine artist and illustrator. She has been painting all of her life, but especially since retirement has she had the time to really pursue her passion. Her earliest memories are of sitting in church looking at the religious paintings of the old masters in her mother's bible and wondering how anyone could paint such wonderful pictures.

Emmert is a self taught artist inspired especially by Andrew Wyeth, Georgia O'Keefe, Edward Hopper and the French impressionists.

Emmert has shown in both solo and group exhibits in various galleries in Washington State. She is in public and private collections nationally and private collections internationally. She does commissions and illustrates children's books.

She has recently rediscovered her love of the art of sculpture and is excited to pursue new projects.
